Burning a candle might seem obvious - "Light the wick and call it a day, right?" but it's a little bit more complicated than that, but we're here to help. Here's how to get the most out of your candle:  Trim the wick to a quarter of an inch every time. Wicks that are too tall will create a flame that extends above the candle vessel, which can be dangerous. Also, you won't get that nice crackling sound if the wick is too tall.
