How to keep your home smelling good in the summer

Temps are rising and, with that, comes some unwanted smells in your home. From sweaty teenagers to stinky garbage cans, summer can be the smelliest season of them all, but it doesn't have to be.  Wondering how to keep your home smelling great in the summer? Follow these tips and tricks.

1- Freeze the stinky stuff. If you have empty packages of meat, wrappers from chicken or steak, spoiled vegetables, or lunch bags, toss them in the freezer until trash day. We started doing this in our home a couple of years ago and it has made a huge difference. No more opening the trash can and getting blasted with funky smells. Our trash day is Monday, so every Sunday night we gather up a bag full of items that would have gotten stinky between trash days.
