First Iteration Candle Refill Kit - Santal Vanilla, Shea & Sandalwood Scent

Ever make something and then afterward look at it and think, "That was not my best work?" Well, we did that with a couple dozen candle refill kits. 

They are 100% usable, but they don't look the way we wanted them to; the wax cooled at the bottom and made the bags thicc and chonky. We've since changed our pouring process so they are taller and slimmer, but these refill kits need a loving home. 

Get 7.5oz of scented wax, a wick clip and a warning label. The wick is will fit Effing Candle Co.'s standard 7oz candle jars (a 9oz straight-sided jar).  

For our candles, we use a vegan blend that is made of coconut wax, apricot wax, and a trace amount of food-grade paraffin. The food-grade-paraffin enhances the performance of the wax and gives it an excellent scent throw, which is one of the things customers love about our candles. The highly refined food-grade nature of our paraffin, which does not contain petroleum byproducts, puts it in the natural category. Our wax melts use a hemp, coconut, soy blend wax that is an all-natural wax. If you are used to paraffin or soy wax, you will find that our wax melts are softer than your traditional wax melt.

Our waxes are gluten free, toxin free, paraben free, phthalate free, and come from renewable sources. The entire blend utilizes only FDA-approved waxes.

We use fragrance oils and essential oils in our candles. Our fragrance oils are phthalate-free, paraben free, and cruelty-free. We chose a mixture of fragrance and essential oils because the fragrance throw is significantly better than just essential oils. Essential oils require an incredibly amount of natural resources to be produced and their hot/cold fragrance throw is much more mild than a fragrance oil.

Our Wicks 

Our single-ply wood wicks are all-natural. All wood used to manufacture our wooden wicks is purchased in the USA and only from mills that maintain an FSC certification and practice environmentally friendly forestry standards. For every $100 we spend on wicks, our supplier plants a tree.

When you first burn your candle, plan to let it melt for 2-3 hours or until the wax has pooled all the way to the sides of the vessel. Always burn your candle on a heat-safe surface. Keep your wooden wick trimmed to .25" for safe burning. Always keep candles away from tiny humans and beloved pets.
